Terms & Conditions
The terms on which BridgeToWork Academy provides its website, learner portal and programmes. By creating an account or enrolling, you agree to them.
About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and BridgeToWork Academy (“BridgeToWork”, “we”, “us”), a workplace readiness and professional development academy operating in Ghana. They cover our public website, the learner portal, and any programme you enrol in. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information and forms part of these terms.
Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. When you register you agree to give us accurate information and to keep it up to date. Your account is personal to you: keep your password confidential, don’t share your sign-in with anyone, and tell us straight away at info@bridgetoworkacademy.com if you think it has been used without your permission. You are responsible for activity on your account.
Where an organisation enrols its staff, the organisation is responsible for ensuring each learner accepts these terms.
Enrolment, fees and payment
Programme fees are shown on the website and at the point of enrolment, in Ghana cedis, and may differ by audience (graduate, professional or organisation). The fee you see when you enrol is the fee you pay.
Payment is taken through Paystack, our payment processor, by card, mobile money or bank transfer. Your place is confirmed and your access to the programme is activated once Paystack confirms your payment. If a payment fails or is not completed, no access is granted and no fee is charged.
Because you receive access to the programme materials as soon as payment is confirmed, fees are non-refundable once your access has been activated, except where a refund is required by law or where we cancel the programme. If you have paid but have not yet been activated and change your mind, contact us and we will refund you.
We may change our fees from time to time. A change never affects a fee you have already paid.
The programme and your access
The programme is delivered online through the learner portal as a series of weekly modules, each with lesson content, an assignment, a weekly challenge and a quiz, together with a simulation and a portfolio submission. Modules may open on a weekly schedule from the date your enrolment is activated.
Your access to the programme and its materials lasts for at least 12 months from the date your enrolment is activated, so you can complete outstanding work at your own pace and claim your certificate. If we ever need to end access after that period we will tell you in advance.
We work hard to keep the portal available, but it may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We are not liable for interruptions, though we will always try to restore access promptly and, where an interruption is prolonged, to extend deadlines fairly.
Your work and academic integrity
Everything you submit — assignments, challenges, quiz answers, your portfolio — must be your own work. You may not copy another learner’s work, submit work written by someone else, or misrepresent AI-generated text as your own analysis where the task calls for your own thinking. If we find that a submission breaches this, we may mark it as failed, ask you to resubmit, or in serious cases withhold or withdraw a certificate.
You keep ownership of the work you submit. You grant us a licence to store it, have it assessed, return feedback on it, and keep it as part of your learning record. We will not publish your work or use it as a case study without asking you first.
Certification
A certificate is issued when you have met every requirement published on our Certification page, including the pass mark and any minimum score, quiz, simulation and portfolio conditions in force at the time. We may adjust these requirements between cohorts; any change is published on that page before it applies.
Certificates are issued automatically by the portal once eligibility is met, are signed by the Academy’s founder, and carry a unique verification code that anyone you share it with can check on our website. We may withdraw a certificate if it was obtained through a breach of these terms.
Our content
The programme materials — videos, lesson text, assignment briefs, quizzes, templates and everything else in the portal — belong to BridgeToWork or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own learning while you have access. You may not download, record, copy, share, sell or publish them, or use them to deliver training to others, without our written permission.
Acceptable use
When using the website or portal you agree not to:
- attempt to access another learner’s account, submissions or grades;
- upload anything unlawful, offensive, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
- upload files containing malware or attempt to probe, overload or interfere with the platform;
- misuse the contact form or portal to send spam or abusive messages;
- impersonate BridgeToWork, our staff or another learner.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms, if your payment is reversed or found to be fraudulent, or if we are required to by law. Where practical we will warn you first. You may close your account at any time by emailing us; closing your account does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid, and does not remove an issued certificate from the verification service unless you ask us to.
Liability
We provide the programme with reasonable care and skill. However, we do not promise that completing it will lead to any particular job, promotion or outcome — that depends on you and on employers. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from these terms or your use of the platform is limited to the fees you paid us for the programme in question. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Ghanaian law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for significant changes, tell you by email. If you keep using the platform after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any dispute will first be raised with us at info@bridgetoworkacademy.com so we can try to resolve it; failing that, the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction.
